I happened to see the new “Spider-Man 3″ trailer before the boring “Superman Returns” began, and yes: I was almost jumping up from my seat, not far away from getting a heart attack because I was so excited!

“Venom”… need I say more?

“Superman Returns” - Or: Much Ado About Nothing

I have seen “Superman Returns” (German version) yesterday and I was really disappointed.

OK, I don’t like Superman anyway, as he doesn’t have an internal conflict with being a superhero, as e.g. Spider-Man does. And even Batman is a far more interesting character - even though (or maybe because) he has no real superpowers.

In comparison, Superman is almost invulnerable - except this bloody cryptonite… and his only problem is that he can’t get the woman he wants. Superman has such a flat character. And he only has ONE real enemy (Lex Luther). That’s so boring!

It’s a pity, as Bryan Singer created some interesting movies with the “X-Men” trilogy… but superman… well, in my opinion one doesn’t need to see it… it’s not more but a giant marketing hype.

Even the special effects didn’t make me wanna scream “Yeah, baby!”
