Image: Amazon.com Today, I listened to the soundtrack of the first “Pirates”-movie again, and I must say that it is by far one of the most interesting soundtracks I have ever listened to. This piece of music composed by Klaus Badelt was “overproduced” by Hans Zimmer, whose influence one notices instantly. In my opinion, it is only overtopped by the famous “Braveheart” soundtrack by James Horner… well, the “Last Unicorn” soundtrack by “America” is a masterpiece, too, but who would confess that? … Read entire article »

The Irish company Steorn claims that they “have developed a technology that produces free, clean and constant energy” that “appears to violate the ‘Principle of the Conservation of Energy’”. On August 14th, I wrote an eMail to a friend of mine who has been living in the US now for several months (or is it years already?). I haven’t heard from him for a long time, and that is so not his way. Then I went on a business trip for a week, and until that day, he had not answered yet, which made me very sad because we have been really good friends for a long, long time now.
