Image: Amazon.com Yesterday, I watched “The Machinist” on DVD once again, and I must say that this movie has become one of my favorites. First of all, the acting of Christian Bale is unbelievable. He lost a lot of weight to make his character credible (and regained his weight for Batman again in a short period of time – respect!). He looks so horribly starved that it fits perfectly into the depressing atmosphere the movie keeps up the whole time. In addition to that, his mimic and gestures really makes you believe how confused somebody in his situation must be – permanently losing weight and getting no sleep at all. This post is mainly for my German visitors and therefore written in German. Am Mittwoch, den 6. September 2006, wurde Natascha Kampusch’s erstes Medien-Interview in einer RTL/ORF-Kooperation im “Extra”-Magazin auf RTL übertragen – knapp 2 Wochen, nachdem sie ihrem Peiniger entkommen war, der die jetzt 18jährige im Alter von 10 Jahren entführt hatte. Er beging im Anschluss an die Flucht von Natascha Selbstmord. Eigentlich habe ich mir vorgenommen, hier mal meine Meinung zu den Medien – insbesondere zur Aufmachung des “Extra”-Magazins auf RTL und zur Befragung von Psychologen – abzugeben.
