I have seen “Superman Returns” (German version) yesterday and I was really disappointed.
OK, I don’t like Superman anyway, as he doesn’t have an internal conflict with being a superhero, as e.g. Spider-Man does. And even Batman is a far more interesting character - even though (or maybe because) he has no real superpowers.
In comparison, Superman is almost invulnerable - except this bloody cryptonite… and his only problem is that he can’t get the woman he wants. Superman has such a flat character. And he only has ONE real enemy (Lex Luther). That’s so boring!
It’s a pity, as Bryan Singer created some interesting movies with the “X-Men” trilogy… but superman… well, in my opinion one doesn’t need to see it… it’s not more but a giant marketing hype.
Even the special effects didn’t make me wanna scream “Yeah, baby!”

My Car makes funny noises when I’m cruising… almost sounds like fingernails scratching on a blackboard. It’s nice what you have to listen to when you tell your friends: “Maybe a cat in the trunk!”, “Maybe you did not notice a pedestrian!”, or best: “Seems to be a Lilliputian in your engine compartment who takes his job very seriously!”
I guess one day soon I will have to buy a new one… how I wish I could afford this one… or even better: this one!

When you use the Adblock extension for Firefox (which is quite a good extension, don’t get me wrong), sometimes a very bugging advertisment appears in a layer which shows no content and therefore no “close”-button, so you can’t get rid of that damn advertisment to read the content of the website (as happend here).
I switched to Adblock Plus, and see: no more bugging advertisement - it’s all gone!

OK, after I received my first spam comments (see this post), I decided to do something about it. And as I am using worpress 2.0.4, there is a quite simple solution:
- Sign up for a user account on www.wordpress.com.
- As soon as you have created an account, you will be sent an eMail with your individual AKISMET API key. You do not need to have a blog created, but… hey, why not? It’s for free! If you have requested a blog on wordpress.com, you can get the API key from the “Edit profile” page if you need it again.
- Just enable the AKISMET plugin, then go to the AKISMET configuration and type in your API key.
That’s all. Now you can see all spam comments that AKISMET has caught under “Manage -> Akismet spam”.
Important note:
Do not share your AKISMET API key, as it works similar to a passwort and is just meant to be used by yourself!
Another fight spamming tool which attempts to hide eMail-addresses from ‘bots’ by “replacing any email addresses in your posts and pages with an obsfucated version” can be found here:
I have installed both of the mentioned plugins and I am wondering how they will work. Time (or number of spam comments still getting through) will tell…

Had my first work day after my holidays today… my worries were unnecessary, it was a nice day. Well, that’s the way I am: always anticipating the worst, which almost never occurs.
I have just returned from my fitness center (see www.kenpokan.de) where I got a new training program. Well, I haven’t started it yet, since today I was very tired (I only had 3 hours of sleep last night). But I am very excited about it, and the conversation with the trainer was very interesting. Maybe I’ll have a second meeting to discuss nutrition - I definitly need a lesson concerning my way of eating… it’s bad as bad can be.

I just received a comment on “Pirates Of The Carribean - Dead Man’s Chest” which provided no eMail-address. How is this possible? I tried to leave a comment myself without an eMail-address, it didn’t work… the browser showed “please fill in the required fields” - as it should be.
So, how did the author of the comment mentioned above manage to provide no eMail-address and still send the comment?
Strange…
