Google Gears Slowing Down WordPress Editor?
Recently, I had the strange feeling that my WordPress editor reacted a little VERY slowly when creating a new post. So, I used the Firefox addon Live HTTP Headers to see what was going on – and found the culprit: every time I opened the editor, Google Gears was pretty busy connecting and downloading.
After deactivating it, everything works smoothly again now.
Well, I might be wrong, but isn’t Google Gears supposed to speed things up rather than slowing everything down?
