Did Your WordPress Dashboard Ever Suddenly Go Blank?

If you ever happen to have a blank WordPress dashboard, take a look inside your wp-content/plugins/ directory and see if you can find an “index.php”. If so, just rename it to “index.html” – now you should see your dashboard again. It’s magic!

Thanks to whooami for the tip in the WordPress support forum.
Well, come on: how are we supposed to find THAT out by ourselves? :-)

  • It didn't work for me. Any other suggestions?
  • Fantastic, it worked! *** star trick! ;) Now I have 2 dashboards! =)

PS: index.php is used to restrain ppl from watching your plugins directory on the web. Php or html is the same so no worries..it's safe!
  • Amazing: we both share the same problems! I managed to get another dashboard via a plugin called MyDashboard but I'm going to try that right away!
  • @Tim:
