Did Your WordPress Dashboard Ever Suddenly Go Blank?

If you ever happen to have a blank WordPress dashboard, take a look inside your wp-content/plugins/ directory and see if you can find an “index.php”. If so, just rename it to “index.html” – now you should see your dashboard again. It’s magic!

Thanks to whooami for the tip in the WordPress support forum.
Well, come on: how are we supposed to find THAT out by ourselves? :-)

    Selbst mit der index.php Datei muss die Übersichtsseite nicht umbedingt “blank” sein.

    @Tim:
    Bei mir war das so – liegt wahrscheinlich an den einzelnen Plugins, die man verwendet… k.A. Das Umbenennen der Datei hat das auf jeden Fall behoben.

    Amazing: we both share the same problems! I managed to get another dashboard via a plugin called MyDashboard but I’m going to try that right away!

    Fantastic, it worked! *** star trick! ;) Now I have 2 dashboards! =)

    PS: index.php is used to restrain ppl from watching your plugins directory on the web. Php or html is the same so no worries..it’s safe!

    It didn’t work for me. Any other suggestions?
