As I posted some time ago, I would really like Gmail to have an automatic BBC option, so that a copy of each eMail I write will be sent as BCC to an eMail-address I specify. All the attempts to tweak Gmail via a Greasemonkey script failed, so I would like Google to implement this feature directly into the interface.

If you would like this, too, then please consider signing my online petition:
www.petitiononline.com/gmailbcc/petition.html

You would do me a great favour by spreading the word about this petition.

I have put a banner up on flickr.com which looks like this:

Google GMail Automatic BCC Option Online Petition

You can use the following code to put this into a blog post:

<a href="http://www.petitiononline.com/gmailbcc/petition.html"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3233/2741223213_2e418e69be_o_d.png" width="348" height="549" alt="Google GMail Automatic BCC Option Online Petition" /></a>

Thanks for your support!

I have put this issue into the Gmail Users Google Group where Zack says I should use the Gmail Feature Suggestion - which I did.

If you want to support me, please go there, too, and write the following under “I have a better idea” down at the bottom:

Please add an automatic BCC option to Gmail. This function should enable the user to specify an e-mail-address to which a BCC of every e-mail will be sent that was written within Gmail.

For more details, see

Thank you!

Please do not forget to sign the petition, nonetheless.

Digging this article might also help to spread the word.

I want this feature very badly and I won’t give up on it so soon. :-)

Thanks again!
