For a long time, I was looking for a plugin that would display (random) Flickr photos in my theme, primarily in the sidebar.
Well, here is the thing:
you don’t need a plugin - just use the Flickr badge creator!

I noticed that setting up a static front page - which is officially supported since WP 2.1 - does not work when the “Extended Live Archive” plugin is activated (relates to v0.10beta R18).

On September 25th, 2007, WordPress 2.3 has been released on wordpress.org.
The most interesting thing seems to be the native tagging support - former users of e.g. UTW are supposed to be able to import their tags.
Again, I will wait with upgrading… maybe it’s time to upgrade to 2.2 now.

I remember having some difficulties in redirecting URLs (see this post) because of my little knowledge about Apache. Well, now I have stumbled across a nice WordPress plugin that lets you easily create redirections within the admin panel of WordPress - and you do not even need mod_rewrites!

I must admit: I haven’t seen the 2007 VMA, yet - but I have heard about Britney’s performance and had to watch it online… OMG!

Thanks to Nick Momri, I have found a way of showing the date of the last modification/update of each post by putting the code of his WordPress plugin “Last Modified” into the main index template.
