Smoking Ban In Germany

Excerpt:

From August 1st, 2007, smoking in Germany (like e.g. Lower Saxony - where I live) will be banned in restaurants, bars and discotheques as well as other public places - unless there are separate smoking rooms.
This should be the perfect time to quit smoking, shouldn’t it?
Before, I managed to quit smoking for 3 days in [...]

A Place To Ponder

Excerpt:

If you ever had a question coming up your mind and you were too lazy or busy to work on the answer, you should visit www.ponderplace.com - I am sure if Stephen ain’t too busy working on other requests, he will give you a possible answer…
Well, I must admit that I am not too confident [...]

Tokyo Photos Now Fully Uploaded On Flickr

Excerpt:

The photos of my journey to Tokyo back in 2004 are now fully uploaded on my flickr account.
Unfortunately, I only had a 2 MegaPixel camera at the time, so the quality could have been better.
In addition to that, I haven’t had a tripod with me, so especially the pictures taken by night are more or [...]

Excerpt:

If you want to use one of those nice little animated GIFs that appear while the content is loading (yes, that’s so totally Web 2.0-ish!), but you have no idea at all how to create it yourself: take a look at this nice website.

Quentin Tarantino’s “Death Proof”

Excerpt:

I’ve seen Tarantino’s new movie yesterday, July 21th, 2007, in the Cinemaxx (Raschplatz) in Hannover - what can I say? I am not so much a fan of the 70’s movies and their style, either, but this one is really - cuckoo.
Forget about all this modern camera techniques and CGI: this one is all about [...]

Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000
Terratec TerraCAM USB Pro

Which one should I take?
Any further suggestions?

Rendering Your Website In Different Browsers

Excerpt:

If you want to see how your website looks in different browsers that you do not have installed, you should try the following services:

IE NetRenderer: ipinfo.info/netrenderer/
Although this site only shows screenshots for IE 5.5, IE 6 and IE 7, I prefer this service because a) Firefox makes no such troubles as IE and b) the [...]

My New Mobile Phone: Samsung SGH-D900

Excerpt:

I finally purchased a nice Samsung SGH-D900 mobile, so that I can put my old Siemens CX65 to rest.
I always wanted to have a slider!
Unfortunately, after installing the Samsung PC Studio 3 from CD, I couldn’t play any mpg-files any longer. The thing is: how do you find out that a mobile phone software [...]

Categories Restructured

Excerpt:

I just deleted the categories

Commercials,
Interesting Stuff,
Life/Universe/etc.,
Sports,

because I think I do not need extra sections like that any longer (e.g. “Interesting Stuff” does not really say anything, does it?).
All but some exceptions can now be found in the “Around The Web” category where I have also put a lot of the “Miscellaneous” stuff.
