Weblog Updated To WordPress 2.1

I finally managed to update my weblog now that WordPress 2.1 has been issued (see this post).

Updating is quite simple, the instructions given by wordpress.org should be sufficient.

I just updated the following plugins:

Category Tagging Plugin, since the old version no longer works with WP 2.1,
Subscribe To Comments, since there are some improvements (nice work, now you can actually see who subscribed which posts),
WordPress Database Backup, because it takes advantage of the WordPress cron system (whatever that means ;-)).

All other plugins work fine, no changes had to be made on my part.

BTW: I LOVE THE TABBED EDITOR IN WP 2.1!!!

Well, after working some time with the tabbed editor, I do not love it THAT much anymore… If you have a complex text and you’d like to fill in some “<br />”-tags in the “code”-view, the editor might accept it at first, but if you change between the views many times, these “<br />”-tags are no longer visible… and most of the time, the break is gone afterwards… So, some improvements have yet to be made.
