Weblog Updated To WordPress 2.1
I finally managed to update my weblog now that WordPress 2.1 has been issued (see this post).
Updating is quite simple, the instructions given by wordpress.org should be sufficient.
I just updated the following plugins:
- Category Tagging Plugin, since the old version no longer works with WP 2.1,
- Subscribe To Comments, since there are some improvements (nice work, now you can actually see who subscribed which posts),
- WordPress Database Backup, because it takes advantage of the WordPress cron system (whatever that means ;-)).
All other plugins work fine, no changes had to be made on my part.
BTW: I LOVE THE TABBED EDITOR IN WP 2.1!!!

Well, after working some time with the tabbed editor, I do not love it THAT much anymore… If you have a complex text and you’d like to fill in some “<br />”-tags in the “code”-view, the editor might accept it at first, but if you change between the views many times, these “<br />”-tags are no longer visible… and most of the time, the break is gone afterwards… So, some improvements have yet to be made.
